Individual Assessments

A psycho-educational assessment identifies a client's barriers to school success, both academically and social-emotionally. It explains a client's learning profile, including learning styles, strengths, and weaknesses as well as any social-emotional or behavioral concerns impeding school success. The assessment drives recommendations for school and home success. Any learning, behavioral, or mental health disorders are identified, including:

*Specific Learning Disability

*ADHD

*Behavioral Disorders

*Social-Emotional, including Depression and Anxiety

*Autism Spectrum Disorder

The assessment process includes a parent intake meeting, a review of the student's school records and history, a school observation of the student (if deemed appropriate), individual assessment sessions with the student, a comprehensive assessment report, and a final feedback session to present the report, findings, and recommendations.

Counseling

Rebecca provides individual counseling to students who are struggling in school, both academically and social-emotionally. Counseling sessions address a variety of barriers to school success, including depression and  anxiety, low levels of motivation, difficulty with organization or symptoms of ADHD, social skills, and test-taking strategies.

Workshops & Presentations

Rebecca provides workshops and presentations to parents, teachers, students, and school groups. She has a passion for mindfulness and speaks frequently on the topic, such as Mindful Parenting and Mindful Teaching. Contact Rebecca if you are interested in having Rebecca provide a professional development workshop for your school staff. She also provides parenting workshops for parents.

Consultation & Advocacy

Rebecca can help parents navigate the process of requesting and receiving special education services in a student's school. She is available to explain the results of a psycho-educational assessments to a student's school team and work with the school to implement recommended interventions. She can also attend your student's Individual Education Plan (IEP) meetings with the parent to help the parent understand the IEP process and receive all services a student needs for school success.
